Step 1: Stand with knees slightly bent and hands at chest height.
Step 2: Drop the hips as if you are going to sit in a chair and lower the body until your thighs are parallel to the ground. The Link™ stays at the chest during the squat.
Step 3: Push through the balls of the feet and reverse the motion by extending through the hips. Simultaneously extend the elbows to straighten the arms during the upward movement.
Step 4: As full body extension is reached, jump up and onto the box, landing in squat position.
Step 5: Bend the knees and hop backwards off the box into a soft landing.
Tips: Land with great posture, and don't allow yourself to hinge at the hips. The power comes form keeping a big chest and bringing the hips through, not bending over. Also, when stepping off the box focus on landing just as much as when jumping. No reason to put more stress on the body and give up a rep on working on your landing.
